RESPONSIBLE USE AND 18+ STATEMENT

1. Purpose and legal status

This Responsible Use and 18+ Statement (Statement) sets the minimum age and responsible-use conditions for the Chance Lab website, applications, accounts and related services (Service). It forms part of the legal terms governing the Service and must be read with the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Service and Lottery Analysis Disclaimer and other documents incorporated by the Terms of Use.

This Statement does not exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. Mandatory law prevails to the extent of any inconsistency.

2. Adults only

The Service is intended only for persons aged 18 years or older. A person under 18 must not create or use an account, purchase Plus, submit personal information, use number-analysis functions or otherwise access the Service.

By creating an account or using the Service, the user represents that they are at least 18 and legally capable of accepting the applicable terms. Permission from a parent or guardian does not override this minimum-age requirement.

3. Age and identity verification

Chance Lab may request reasonable information or evidence to verify age, identity, account control, payment authority or eligibility. Chance Lab may withhold, restrict, suspend or terminate access while verification is incomplete or where information appears inaccurate, inconsistent, fraudulent or unsafe.

Verification measures reduce risk but do not guarantee a user's identity, legal capacity or lawful conduct. Users remain responsible for the truth and completeness of information they provide and for preventing access by minors through their account or device.

4. Chance Lab is not a gambling service

Chance Lab provides educational and statistical analysis tools. It does not sell lottery entries, accept bets, hold stakes, conduct draws, pay prizes, provide credit for gambling or act as a lottery or gambling operator, broker or agent.

Saving, generating, scoring or reviewing a number combination within the Service does not purchase an entry, reserve a ticket, create a wager, improve official odds or establish any right to a prize.

5. Randomness and no prediction

Lottery outcomes are random and uncertain. Historical results, frequency data, patterns, rankings, scores, simulations, explanations and AI-assisted outputs cannot reliably predict a future draw or change the official probability of a number combination.

The Service does not provide a winning strategy, guaranteed system, financial advice, gambling advice or recommendation to enter, increase or continue gambling. Marketing, examples and interface labels must be read subject to this limitation.

6. User responsibility

Any decision to participate in a lawful lottery, spend money or rely on external information is made independently by the user outside the Service. Users must confirm their legal eligibility, location, official rules, deadlines, costs, odds, ticket details and results with the relevant official operator or authority.

Users are responsible for setting and observing personal limits appropriate to their circumstances. They must not treat the Service as a substitute for judgement, professional advice, financial planning or support for gambling-related harm.

7. High-risk and prohibited conduct

Users must not use the Service to chase losses, justify increased spending, borrow or obtain credit to gamble, use money required for essential expenses, conceal gambling, facilitate underage participation, evade self-exclusion or another lawful restriction, mislead another person, or automate or coordinate unlawful gambling activity.

Users must not present Chance Lab material as proof of likely winnings, certainty, inside information, official approval or a basis for soliciting money from another person.

8. Signs to stop and seek support

A user should stop using lottery-related functions and consider independent support if gambling is causing financial pressure, distress, conflict, secrecy, loss-chasing, impaired control or interference with work, health or relationships. The Service is not a counselling, clinical, crisis or self-exclusion service.

In an emergency or where immediate safety is at risk, contact emergency services or an appropriate crisis service. Chance Lab does not control or guarantee third-party support services.

9. Platform safeguards and intervention

Chance Lab may apply age gates, notices, usage controls, verification requests, feature restrictions, account holds, content corrections or other proportionate safeguards where reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance, payment integrity or prevention of misuse.

Chance Lab may investigate and preserve relevant records, refuse or reverse access changes, restrict or suspend an account, or refer matters to a service provider or authority where reasonably necessary. These measures do not create a duty to continuously monitor every user, device, external purchase, financial circumstance or real-world gambling activity.

10. No duty to diagnose or supervise

Chance Lab is not able to determine whether a user has a gambling disorder, is experiencing harm, can afford a purchase, is subject to a third-party exclusion or is acting on behalf of another person. Automated notices or platform actions are general safeguards, not individual assessment or professional advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chance Lab is not responsible for loss to the extent caused by a user's underage access, false information, account sharing, failure to maintain device security, breach of this Statement, external lottery participation or disregard of a clear warning.

11. Accounts, devices and minors

Account holders must keep credentials secure, sign out from shared devices, use available device controls and take reasonable steps to prevent access by minors or unauthorised persons. An account may not be transferred, shared or used to enable another person's access.

If Chance Lab reasonably suspects underage access, it may restrict the account, require verification, remove submitted information where appropriate, preserve necessary safety and legal records, and take other steps permitted by the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

12. Payments, cancellation and refunds

The 18+ requirement does not create a free trial, cancellation right or refund entitlement beyond the Subscription and Billing Terms, Refund and Cancellation Policy and applicable law. Account deletion is not a substitute for cancelling Plus.

Unauthorised or underage use should be reported promptly. Chance Lab may investigate account, payment and device records and may require reasonable verification before taking action. Nothing in this section limits a non-excludable consumer right or a valid remedy for an unauthorised transaction.

13. Privacy and sensitive disclosures

Users should not submit medical records, detailed financial records or other sensitive information through ordinary Service fields unless Chance Lab expressly requests it through an authorised process. Any personal information Chance Lab receives is handled under the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

A report concerning a minor, safety issue or misuse does not guarantee a particular outcome, response time or disclosure to the reporting person. Chance Lab may limit information provided where necessary to protect privacy, security, legal privilege, investigations or another person.

14. Liability and consumer rights

Nothing in this Statement excludes, restricts or modifies the Australian Consumer Law or another guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. Where permitted by law, responsibility is limited to loss reasonably attributable to Chance Lab's own act or omission and is reduced to the extent the user or a third party caused or contributed to the loss.

Where the law permits a remedy for failure to comply with a service consumer guarantee to be limited, the remedy may be limited to resupplying the relevant services or paying the reasonable cost of resupply.

15. Changes and enforcement

Chance Lab may update this Statement to reflect changes to the Service, safeguards, risks, law or reasonable operations. The updated document will be published on this page with its effective date. Material changes affecting existing paid users will be handled in accordance with the Terms of Use and applicable law.

A breach may result in restriction, suspension or termination under the Terms of Use. Clauses concerning responsibility, records, investigations, liability and accrued rights continue to apply where their nature requires survival.
