Subscription & Billing Terms

1. About these Terms

These Subscription & Billing Terms govern the purchase, activation, renewal, management and cancellation of a Chance Lab Plus subscription supplied by OCEANSKY ENTERPRISES PTY LTD (ABN 54 699 634 387), trading as Chance Lab.

They operate with the Chance Lab Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy. Transaction-specific information clearly displayed and accepted at checkout forms part of your subscription agreement.

2. Plus subscription

Plus is a recurring paid subscription that provides access to the Plus features and limits described before purchase. Free features may remain available separately. A preview, plan label or account registration does not activate Plus.

Plus is for individual account use unless Chance Lab expressly agrees otherwise in writing. Your access remains subject to the Terms of Use, including age, account-security and acceptable-use requirements.

3. No free trial

Chance Lab Plus is offered as a standard paid subscription without a free trial. Payment is due when the subscription begins.

No statement, countdown, promotional screen or historical reference creates a trial entitlement unless a future written offer expressly states the trial terms and is clearly accepted at checkout.

4. Plans, prices and currency

Chance Lab may offer monthly and annual Billing Periods. Before you confirm payment, checkout will display the selected plan, price, currency, Billing Period, renewal basis, applicable taxes and any other charge that forms part of the transaction.

The checkout information you accept governs the price and Billing Period for that transaction. Prices shown on an informational page do not override the final checkout disclosure.

5. Order and payment authorisation

By completing checkout, you submit an order for Plus and authorise Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the amount disclosed at checkout and for each recurring renewal until cancellation takes effect.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method and that the billing information you provide is accurate. Stripe processes payment-card information under its own terms and privacy notice. Chance Lab does not intend to receive or store complete card numbers or card security codes.

6. Activation of Plus

A checkout success or return page does not by itself activate Plus. Access begins only after Chance Lab receives reliable confirmation that payment succeeded and the subscription has a status recognised by Chance Lab as eligible for Plus.

Processing may be delayed, declined, reversed or subject to verification. If payment confirmation is delayed, Plus may remain unavailable until the subscription status is reliably resolved.

7. Automatic renewal

Unless cancelled before the next renewal is processed, Plus automatically renews for another Billing Period of the same duration and Stripe may charge the then-applicable subscription price, taxes and clearly disclosed charges.

Your account or Stripe customer portal may display the current Billing Period end and renewal date. You are responsible for cancelling before renewal if you do not want the next recurring charge, subject to any non-excludable legal right.

8. Price changes

Chance Lab may change a subscription price for a future Billing Period by giving reasonable advance notice. A change will not retrospectively alter a charge already paid.

The notice will identify when the new price is intended to apply. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the first renewal at the new price. Continued renewal after effective notice constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.

9. Payment failures and reversals

If a payment is declined, overdue, reversed, disputed or otherwise not successfully completed, Chance Lab may retry collection through Stripe and may restrict or suspend Plus access while the issue remains unresolved.

We may restore access after reliable confirmation of successful payment. We will not require you to send complete card details by email.

10. Managing payment and subscription details

You may manage available billing details, payment methods, invoices or subscription settings through the account function or Stripe Customer Portal made available by Chance Lab. The functions available may depend on the subscription status and Stripe configuration.

Updating a payment method does not itself cancel a subscription. Removing the application, ceasing use, signing out or deleting a local shortcut does not cancel Plus.

11. Cancellation

You may cancel Plus through the subscription-management function in your Chance Lab Account or another cancellation method clearly identified by Chance Lab, which may include the Stripe Customer Portal.

When cancellation is successfully processed, automatic renewal is disabled. Unless applicable law, an express offer or the Refund & Cancellation Policy requires otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid Billing Period and Plus access continues until that date.

We will display or provide confirmation of cancellation and its effective date. Keep that confirmation for your records. If you cannot access the available cancellation function, contact chancelabai@gmail.com before the renewal date and provide enough information to identify the account, but do not send complete card details.

12. Plan changes

Where plan switching is available, the timing, price adjustment, credit or charge will be displayed before you confirm the change. A plan change is not effective until it is reliably recorded by Chance Lab and Stripe.

We will not apply an undisclosed retrospective charge. Any proration, credit or immediate charge shown and accepted in the plan-change flow forms part of that transaction.

13. Refunds and consumer rights

Cancellation does not automatically create a right to a refund for an unused part of the current paid Billing Period. Refund eligibility and processing are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy, the transaction-specific offer and applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Receipts and communications

Chance Lab or Stripe may provide checkout confirmations, receipts, invoices, renewal information, payment-failure notices, cancellation confirmations and other necessary subscription communications electronically. These are service or transactional communications, not optional marketing.

You must keep the email address associated with your Account current and check relevant messages concerning the subscription.

15. Account deletion and subscription status

An account-deletion request does not itself cancel an active Plus subscription. Before completing deletion, Chance Lab may require the subscription to be cancelled or otherwise resolved and may retain transaction records where required or authorised by law.

You should cancel Plus through the identified cancellation method and confirm the effective date before requesting account deletion.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in legal requirements, payment processing, subscription features, security, or our operational arrangements. The updated Terms will be published on this page with their effective date. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of changes that may have a materially adverse effect on existing paid subscriptions.

For a material change that may adversely affect an existing paid subscription, we will give reasonable advance notice where practicable. We will not create a retrospective charge or remove an accrued non-excludable right without a lawful basis.

17. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Mandatory consumer rights available to you remain unaffected.
