WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY AND REASONABLE ASSISTANCE STATEMENT
OCEANSKY ENTERPRISES PTY LTD · ABN 54 699 634 387
Effective date: 15 August 2026
1. Purpose and status
This Website Accessibility and Reasonable Assistance Statement (Statement) describes Chance Lab's approach to accessible use of its website, applications, accounts, subscription features, content and related services (Service). It forms part of the information governing the Service and should be read with the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Complaints, Dispute Resolution and Governing Law Policy and other applicable documents.
Chance Lab aims to make the Service reasonably accessible and usable for people with diverse abilities, technologies and circumstances. This Statement expresses an operational commitment and does not reduce any right or obligation that applies under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth), the Australian Consumer Law or other mandatory law.
2. Accessibility objective
Chance Lab seeks to apply recognised accessibility practices, informed where appropriate by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), to core user journeys. Priorities may include perceivable content, keyboard access, meaningful structure, readable contrast, understandable labels, visible focus, scalable text and clear error information.
A reference to WCAG is a design and improvement reference, not a representation that every page, feature, document or third-party component conforms to every WCAG success criterion or conformance level at all times.
3. Measures used
Depending on the feature and development stage, Chance Lab may use semantic headings, descriptive controls, keyboard-operable navigation, text alternatives, form labels, status messages, responsive layouts, colour-independent cues and accessibility testing. Measures may be introduced, improved or replaced over time.
Automated testing can identify some issues but cannot establish complete accessibility. Chance Lab may also use manual review, user feedback and targeted remediation, but is not required to test every combination of content, device, browser, operating system, setting and assistive technology before release.
4. Supported use and user settings
Users should, where reasonably possible, use a current supported browser and operating system, enable necessary browser features, install relevant security and accessibility updates, and configure device or assistive-technology settings suitable for their needs. Zoom, text scaling, contrast modes, screen readers, voice control or keyboard navigation may assist, depending on the user's environment.
Chance Lab does not control a user's device, network, browser extension, assistive technology or local configuration and cannot guarantee compatibility with obsolete, modified, unsupported or insecure environments.
5. Requesting reasonable assistance
A person who cannot access material or complete a core Service task because of an accessibility barrier may contact chancelabai@gmail.com. The request should identify the page or task, the barrier encountered, the device, browser or assistive technology used where relevant, and the assistance or alternative format sought. Passwords, complete payment-card data and unnecessary health information should not be sent.
Chance Lab may verify account control, clarify the request and discuss an effective option. Assistance may include accessible instructions, clarification, an alternative digital format, help locating information or another practical method, subject to law, security, privacy, technical feasibility and the nature of the Service.
6. Assessment of requests
Chance Lab will consider a sufficiently specific request in good faith and in light of the person's stated need, the effectiveness of available options, urgency, privacy and security, technical constraints, cost, resources, impact on others and whether the requested change would cause unjustifiable hardship or fundamentally alter the Service.
Chance Lab may offer a different effective option from the one requested. Nothing in this section limits a mandatory obligation, and any concept of unjustifiable hardship or other exception has the meaning and application given by law rather than by this Statement alone.
7. Response timing
Chance Lab aims to acknowledge a sufficiently identifiable accessibility request within 5 business days and to provide assistance, an outcome or a progress update within a reasonable period. These are service objectives, not guaranteed deadlines. Complexity, missing information, third-party dependencies, security risk or events outside reasonable control may affect timing.
Where a barrier prevents a time-sensitive account or payment action, the user should say so promptly and also use any available cancellation, payment-provider, complaint or emergency pathway. An accessibility request does not automatically extend a legal, contractual, bank or payment-scheme deadline.
8. Alternative formats and communication
An alternative format may differ in layout, appearance or interactive behaviour from the primary version while preserving the material information or practical function as far as reasonably possible. Availability depends on the source material, requested format, urgency, licensing, security and technical feasibility.
Chance Lab may communicate by email or another reasonably available method associated with the account. Users may nominate an authorised representative, subject to reasonable identity, authority, security and privacy checks.
9. Third-party content and services
The Service may link to, embed or depend on independent services, including payment, email, hosting, analytics, identity, official lottery information or other external content. Those providers control their own interfaces, accessibility features, terms and support. A link or integration does not make Chance Lab responsible for the provider's accessibility or continuing availability.
Chance Lab may report an issue, provide available instructions, offer a reasonable workaround or replace a provider where appropriate, but cannot require a third party to change its service or guarantee an equivalent alternative. Users may also contact the relevant provider directly.
10. Documents, data and automated outputs
PDFs, charts, tables, historical material, imported data, images and automated or AI-assisted outputs may present accessibility limitations. Visual precision, dynamic updates, third-party source formats or generated content can affect text alternatives, reading order, labels or compatibility.
Users may request reasonable assistance to understand material information. Chance Lab may explain, reformat, summarise, correct, replace, hide or withdraw affected material, but does not promise to reproduce every visual, historical item or automated output in every requested format.
11. Security, privacy and integrity
Accessibility support does not require Chance Lab to weaken authentication, disclose another person's information, reveal security methods, provide source code, bypass lawful restrictions or permit prohibited conduct. Account-specific assistance may require proportionate verification.
Information supplied with a request will be handled consistently with the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Users should provide only information reasonably needed to explain the barrier and requested assistance.
12. No guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free access
Digital accessibility depends on changing content, code, third-party components and user environments. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chance Lab does not guarantee that the Service will be continuously available, error-free, compatible with every assistive technology, or free from all accessibility barriers at every time.
Discovery of a barrier does not by itself establish negligence, discrimination or breach. Chance Lab may prioritise remediation according to severity, user impact, legal obligations, security, feasibility and available resources, while preserving rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Feedback and problem reports
Accessibility feedback should be sent to chancelabai@gmail.com with the affected URL or feature, a description of the problem, steps to reproduce it and, if comfortable, relevant technology details. Screenshots may help but should not expose credentials or unnecessary personal information.
Chance Lab may reproduce and investigate the issue, request more information, record technical details, group related reports and contact relevant service providers. Feedback may be used to improve the Service, but submission does not guarantee a particular feature, remedy, priority or release date.
14. Complaints and external pathways
A person dissatisfied with the handling of an accessibility concern may use the Complaints, Dispute Resolution and Governing Law Policy and request internal review of a material factual or procedural error. A genuine complaint, adverse review or lawful report to a regulator will not by itself justify retaliation.
Depending on the issue and eligibility, an external complaint pathway may be available through the Australian Human Rights Commission, a state or territory body, a consumer agency, court or tribunal. Chance Lab does not represent that a particular body has jurisdiction over every matter.
15. Mandatory rights and interpretation
Nothing in this Statement excludes, restricts or modifies a right, remedy, guarantee, reasonable-adjustment duty, complaint pathway or jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. Mandatory law prevails to the extent of inconsistency.
This Statement is not legal, medical or accessibility-professional advice. Headings assist navigation only. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it is to be read down or severed to the minimum extent necessary without affecting the remaining provisions.
16. Updates and operator
Chance Lab may update this Statement as technology, the Service, recognised practices or legal requirements change. The updated document will be published on this page with its effective date. Material changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise.
